Costumes

Adowa
The costumes they wear consists of two pieces of clothing.
One piece is wrapped around the chest so that the end of the fabric reaches the knee.
There are two ways to wear the top cloth.
One way is to have the fabric thrown over the left shoulder leaving the longer amount of fabric behind the dancer.
The second way is to fold the piece of fabric so the width is smaller and tie it around the torso.
Jewelry is wore on the head, shoulders, upper arms, wrists, knees, ankles.
Depending on the context of the occasion, the dancers will have a colored handkerchief. For funerals the handkerchief would be a dark color versus a bright color used for festivals.
