Akan Adowa and Asaadua
-Akan originated from the Ivory Coast.
-Now the
majority lives in Ghana.
-Ghana is about
the size of Oregon and has about 24.5 million people
while Oregon has
3.9 million.
-The Akan were
well developed before the Europeans came in the 14th century.
-Had slavery
from the 15th century through the 17th century.
-They are not
wealthy but their country produces large amounts of diamonds, gold and oil.
